Key 2 Senior Year
By Sadeeya Bentham
Senior Year is the year every high schooler anticipates when they enter high school. Although senior year comes with a lot of excitement and activities, it’s very easy to lose your focus during the year. You have college applications, prom to prep for and any other senior activities your schools may have . As well as you have to maintain good grades for the year. I know this sounds very overwhelming , because truth is it is . But don’t give up just yet! I have some suggestions to help you out.
I have two tips for anyone entering their senior year.
The first thing is to limit your procrastination . Try to procrastinate less and do things as soon as possible . Being you have so many things to do this year you need to manage your time better. If you are given an essay on Monday due at the end of the week just knock it out the first two nights. Now you have the rest of the week to do whatever activities or go to whatever game you want. As well as practicing this right will prep you for colleges and any other future life experiences.
The second thing to remaining focus throughout this year is choosing your priorities and friends right. You need to surround yourself with all good influences because the company you keep can influence a lot of your choices . If you have an assignment to do and your friends tell you there’s a party you need to put that assignment before it . If your friends don’t understand that , you need to change the company you keep.
Overall senior year is what you make it . It could be your worst year or your best just remember it’s your last year. You should want to end it off on a good note. Yes, I get it there’s a lot to manage being you have to planning where you will go to school for the next four years while your still in school dealing with daily high school festivities. Trust me, senior year is worth the wait.
I can’t wait. It sounds like a lot of fun and excitement!!!
