Fall is now here and the toasty, professional and upscale look is definitely in, time to put the crop tops and miniskirts away. Although mini skirts can be layered with a cute pair of leggings or thigh high boots, there seems to be a new trend.

Flare arms, a trend that started in the late spring early summer is definitely coming with us into the fall. Flare shirts add a little class and personality to the outfit. They can easily be paired with simple jeans or a denim skirt.  Flare shirts are very easy to find at stores like Forever 21, Zara, H&M and many more.

Another fashion trend that seems to be in the air are thigh and knee high boots. Boots have always been a trend for the fall because they easy to pair with a pair of jeans, t shirt and leather jacket. But thigh and knee high boots adds a sassy, edgy, sexy but still cozy look to the outfit. This is a great way to dress up a simple outfit and make it look as if you spent hours putting it together.

These are just two of the trends for the fall of 2017, there will be much more to add to the list. Remember to be you ! If you like it that’s all that matters !

New Jordans Release
By: Malaysia Cotton & Emanni Jenkins

download.jpgOn Saturday September 30, there was a new Jordan release ¨the blue 5´s¨  created by the originator the one and only Tinker Hatfield.  If you buy them for retail they are $140 for grade school and $190 for men. If you miss they release they can cost any where from $200-$300 resale.

Every so often he surprises fans with new Jordans that have a  different style or flavor to it. However, These that have recently dropped are not all that hype because, most people do not know how to rock it!

Senior, Kyle Wiggins had this to say about the sneaker release,

“The sneakers are really nice, I think people are able to wear them with good fashion, but i don’t think the shoes will be able to go with just anything, people would really have to find the color coordinates.”

Senior Amber Moses disagrees with Kyle’s sentiment. She says, “I feel the shoes are not all that hype. Every since they were released, people have been copping them just because. The outfits that have been worn with these shoes have been booty!”

The only person who wore these shoes right was senior Danielle Robinson.
Danielle wears the shoes correctly by color coordinating her outfit. The shade of blue in her shirt matches the shade of blue in the jordans, and she did not throw on any pair of jeans but jeans that complimented the entire outfit.

Some feel they are worth hype and some like us think that they are not. You can be fly even if you don’t buy these overpriced kicks.

  1. I agree with Kyle, everyone has a pair and I’m starting to see them too much

  2. I enjoy this article because it is so true, many people have these sneakers and are not wearing them right or are just simply doing too much. I like Danielle’s simple fit.

  3. I agree with this! The sneakers are real nice though. Most people are going to wreck their 5s anyway.

  4. Most of the Jordans coming out are straight hype, none of them will compare to the old colorways.
