From Alumni to Principal

Edwin Mendez better known as to us as Mr. Mendez is the principal of the University High School. Not only is Mr. Mendez our principal, he is an alumnus of our school. Mr. Mendez was announced principal for 2016-17 school year serving as the Vice Principal for the school year 2015-16.
But before he ever walked these halls as the principal he was once just a Phoenix, just like us.
“It's an honor, I never thought it would be possible and sometime it doesn’t seem real.”
Is it hard to manage your time to address issues that concern staff and students?
“ Yes it was difficult to just get down here for this meeting”
“Yes, especially with the students I have seen a more relaxed environment.”
“Yes, I knew these were going to be my responsibilities but what I didn’t know was how hard time management will be."
After the interview concluded, we realized that our principal has a lot more responsibilities than we can ever imagine. He makes his job look too easy.
