Prince Abimah has very much earned the title of Senior of the month, that position and title this year with his contribution to the school and GPA. Abimah is currently in the running for Valedictorian. Prince has been an academic superstar since coming to University High School. In his eleventh grade year he was also in the running to become the student representative for the district. He missed it by just a few votes.
He isn’t just about the grades either. In the span of his high school career, he’s played soccer and ran track. Abimah has shown some exceptional performances in both sports. Along with his athletic abilities Prince has had some involvement in the arts in terms of dancing and music.
In addition to sports, Abimah plays trombone in the band and he was given the opportunity to be the conductor in the University High School orchestra for the Winter concert. Alongside the several hobbies Prince has, he’s also a dedicated dancer, performing at events such as parties, weddings and the recent school pep rally.
When asked about his motivation for success Prince said, “My sister and my mother are my biggest motivators. My mother because she’s always had high expectations for her kids so I always knew I had to work hard and work to the best of my ability, and my sister because she was formerly a University High school Valedictorian. So ever since she graduated I felt the pressure to continue in her footsteps.”
Prince has some big shoes to fill-- but there's no doubt that he will. His college decision day is definitely one to look forward to.
