“On a roll” isn’t even the correct phrase to explain how wonderful the girls basketball team is doing this year. With the record of 11-1 University proves to remain at the top. Nonetheless, the girls recently brutally beat Montclair High School with a blowout!

The score was 15-108.

The girls each worked together to make this happens. This game Senior Danielle Robinson took the over. She scored 22 points, had 5 rebounds, 11 field goals, 10 assist and 3 steals.

Senior was Teresa Ortiz right behind with 17 points, 4 field goals, 3 assist, amd 2 steals.

Senior Dominique Joseph helped out with 9 points, 1 field goal, and 6 rebounds.

Freshman Tanisha Tucker played a role with 9 points, 3 field goals, 6 assists, and 2 steals.

Although this wasn’t her best game, Freshman Sydney Williams gave her team a hand giving the team 2 points, 1 field goal, 1 assists, amd 1 steal.

Freshman Tara Johnson helped the game having 7 points, 3 field goals, 7 rebounds, 1 assists, and 4 steals. Amaya Powell had 7 points, 3 field goals.

Last but not least, Senior Zakirah Graham helped the team by scoring 6 points. 1 field goal, 1 rebound, 1 assists, and 2 steals.

By working together, there is no doubt that the girls definitely dominated the court against Montclair . However, this is not the first and definitely will not be the last. With the support from us, I know the girls can keep up the good work and put themselves in position for that number one spot.
